Amethyst started working at Clearlake Animal Hospital in 2011. She started out as the kennel technician, worked her way up to a veterinary technician, and is now the assistant manager. She takes great pride in her work. Outside of work, Amethyst spends most of her time at home taking care of her beautiful daughter and cat. She loves spending time outdoors, playing guitar and singing, going to church, and spending time with her family. She also loves plants and spending time in the garden. She believes that every animal deserves the best possible care and experience, and is dedicated to making sure your fur babies receive that quality of care here at Clearlake Animal Hospital.

Megan truly loves her work and cannot imagine a career outside of veterinary medicine.

Arlene
Arlene
Veterinary Technician & Receptionist

Arlene joined the Clearlake Animal Hospital team about a year ago in April 2024. She has been a vet tech for twenty-eight years now. Starting out young with a love for animals and animal rights, she grew up on a mini farm and continues the tradition now with dogs, cats, birds, horses, goats, and chickens.

She did not go to a formal school, as they were not offered at the time; she got her foot in the door based on her passion and fierce determination to learn.

Arlene also enjoys dog behavior and training. She has kept her dogs busy with obedience, agility, fast cat, scent work, and tracking. She is still very passionate about animal rights, and besides her fur babies, she also volunteers and fosters to help those who have failed. Arlene has been fortunate in this life to get the chance to do what she loves, so it’s not just a job; it’s her purpose.
